Pins given out!

So far, 12 pins have been awarded!

June was hot and humid, so a lot of folks didn’t really get out as much as we hoped, so we’re extending the contest until Labor Day (or we run out of pins). Get exploring!

Old Home Day is Here!

Old Home Day is Here! Bring your photo albums to the Conservation Commission table under the tent at Old Home Day to receive your pins and see what you may have missed. We’ve got a map with pins for all the locations!

Don’t have 30 points? Don’t worry, we’ve lowered the requirements for pins to just 20 points!

Welcome!

Welcome to the Great Grantham Scavenger Hunt of 2018, celebrating Grantham’s 250th anniversary. In honor of this occasion, the Conservation Commission and Historical Society have collected a series of approximately 50 different historic, iconic, or unique locations spread throughout the town of Grantham. The objective is to visit as many of them as you can between now and Old Home Day on July 4th, 2018, and to take a picture of each location to prove that you’ve been there.
Some of these locations are easy to find. Some are difficult. Some are right near downtown, and a handful require a bit of hiking. Our goal was to get everyone out and exploring some of the little unique nooks and crannies of Grantham that you may have driven or walked by before, without really noticing them, and to learn more about Grantham’s rich history!
